I ship Tony/Rhodey and have written one of the longer stories for that pairing. I don't ship Steve/Sam. Sometimes it's just a simple matter of does/does not ship, and I wish people would admit that.

Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't. Sure. But let's look at an example here. Clint Barton and Phil Coulson shared 47 seconds of conversation. It's one of the biggest ships in the fandom. Nick Fury (to use a direct quote) "moved heaven and earth" to bring Phil Coulson back to life and there's... well, let's say very little going on there.

Why? What's the reason? Why do two dudes that have no history or real interaction past a little snark rule the fandom when there's ship bait like that going on else where? Hmm?

I'm going to disagree and I'm probably in the minority, but I do find Samuel L. Jackson attractive. Especially in Die Hard 3. I wonder what this says about me.

It says you have good taste.

Yay! :3

But seriously, he's fucking sexy as hell as Nick Fury. Are people blind? He's so badass and takes next to no shit. Yummy.

*solidarity fistbump* Preachin' to the choir, my friend. The coat, the bearing... mmmmm. Yum.

Hell, even if I didn't find him physically attractive then his attitude alone would do it for me. And you can't forget that eyepatch. So delicious. Yum, yum.

The man has a fantastic voice too... you know, if that's your kind of thing. ;) LOL

His voice is totally my thing. :) and another big part of why he's so attractive to me. Such an awesome voice.

He looked pretty fucking great in Pulp Fiction with that afro. I think a lot of his appeal for me is the attitude in addition to the looks.

I'm going to have to disagree with you there...

But yes, Mr. Mackie is very easy on the eyes. :) (Don Cheadle too.)

Cutting in: OMG PLEASE WRITE IT. I also have loved Mackie since that (awesome) movie, and so was just delighted to see his delicious bro-down with CAPTAIN FUCKING AMERICA

I am not gonna lie to you man, I think Sam Jackson is a pretty attractive guy, but I just cannot see Nick Fury with ANYBODY. Not original comics white Fury, not Ultimates Fury, not MCU Fury. In this one miniseries where he's bitterly hiring hookers, I was totally not there for it cause it did not feel like him at all. Sex even I could get with, in other less Frank Miller-y circumstances, but romance and Nick Fury are just not two ideas I can reconcile in my brain. I swear I do not get it

(I LOVE Steve/Sam though. And I'm mad into Tony/Rhodey. I also pipedreamishly want Storm/Thor, tbh)

in a good way right???!

I swear in some random-ass Avengers comic he said something mildly flirtatious (in a respectful way) to her, and in the next panel she's laughing while she replies, and it's just a really beautiful delighted-looking smile at him, and like THAT WAS IT but I FOREVER WANT IT TO HAPPEN NOW

OH I REMEMBER THAT! Marvel Adventures Avengers I think... maybe? I could be wrong.

Nah, it's cool. Everybody's got a different take.

Storm/Thor is freakin' GOLD though. If only there was more of it out there!

I think he's not unpleasant looking, but I don't really think he's better looking than SLJ.

He looks like just... an average dude to me.
