Um, idk, write her off in a manner that would allow the character to come back at some point in the future? I mean, it's not like her canon backstory establishes that she's never lived in one place longer than a year or anything...oh wait. It's not like there aren't other towns that have innocents that need protecting or something, given the family's code...oh wait.

So yeah, they easily could've written Allison & Chris out of the show in a way that didn't involve killing Allison, especially since I've heard since that JR is leaving as well. So I mean, don't give Jeff Davis a free pass. Yes, Crystal asked to leave but killing Allison off is not a "good ending". It's a hack ending and it seems that death is the only thing Jeff really knows how to write js.
