On the one hand, I do think people have gotten way too sensitive about the use of the word "retard."

On the other, I kind of hate it when people get overly preachy about their right to use it.

Personally, I never stopped using it, but sometimes I do stop and consider the person I'm using the word to refer to... and if genuinely retarded people* really deserve to be lumped in the same group as that butthole on a cell phone who cut me off without warning or waving and nearly caused me to have an accident on a busy road.

*Someone diagnosed with mental retardation, or some physical and/or developmental disability that consistently interrupts one's daily life.
