I disliked it from the moment I saw the ad for it because I'd read an account of the historical event on Wikipedia. It was the gratuitous addition of magic that got me, because the tale I read was all about a group of samurai taking revenge for the unfair murder of their lord.

A personal opinion ("I didn't see it b/c of X") and a statement of fact (she's accurate about the history) is neither ill-informed or racist. YOU, however, are certainly coming off as ill-informed as to the rest of this convo.
