I applaud you. It's seemed to me for a long while now that "kids" grow up slower these days or don't grow up at all until a lightning strucks them, basically without proper raising or guidelines.
I totally get you and I think good habits and reason was all about how I was raised and learned to live.

And I'm glad you have that. My mother got practically the opposite of that and far too many of my friends - mostly female friends from conservative families - are in the same situation. Given that my mom still often acts like an immature teenager in her 50's, seeing a highly probably future like that for my current friends honestly scares me.
