Actually, history has shown that anti-Semitism tends to come in "waves". There will be a big "burst" of awfulness (such as the Spanish Inquisition or the Holocaust), then things will get better for a while and Jews will for the most part become fairly successful and respected members of society up until the economic/political situation starts to deteriorate, leading to the next "burst".

We're in an in between period right now, but I predict another "burst" will happen some time soon, if what's been going on in parts of Europe lately is any indication.

I can't tell if you're trolling or not.

In case you aren't, I might as well tell you that (to my knowledge at least) European Muslims don't really have anything to do with this. From what I've read, most of the trouble is coming from hardcore right-wing groups (most of which are probably Islamophobic as well as anti-Semitic).

I think the AYRT is referring to the more continent-wide-level stuff that is going down in the European Union right now, such as the right-wing supremacists in France, the Golden Dawn in Greece, and Svoboda and other right-wing parties that are now in power in Ukraine.

The Americans aren't too fussed about this situation however, because there is a majority in the USA that has the same or similar politics, although they don't have a majority government at the moment. In Canada, we do have them as a majority government at the moment, and they are every bit as scarily right-wing and white supremacist as Le Pen's party in France, if not worse, because they managed to gild the lily enough to hide their desire for politico-religious Dominionism from the voter base the last time around...if not 2015 as well.

TL;DR: You're referring to smaller-scale stuff. AYRT is talking big picture.

Are you completely ignorant or just being an asshole? Yes, extremist parties in both of those countries. Hungary's particularly bad right now- they just had elections and the extremist party dominated. My Hungarian friend (gay, Jewish, living in the Netherlands while he studies) is pretty depressed because he doesn't think he'll be able to live there again for the next 16 years.

The UK has the lsecond largest Jewish community in Europe after France, so I was able to find statistics for them. In most of Europe, the Jewish community is neglegable and finding statistics is hard.

Nice bit of anti Semitism there, though. Or is "judaismisthetruthyoufilthygentiles.com" supposed to be a legitimate criticism of Israel? You know how we Jews like to confuse those two.

Shit, Jew here, I really hope you aren't conflating the UK with Europe as whole, or using the UK as an example of Europe as a whole. The UK has very different politics from Croatia and Greece and Norway and the Netherlands and Ukraine and Belarus and yet all of them are in Europe.

Number of Jews in France : 500,000~

Number of Muslims in France: 6,000,000~

Again, clearly, Muslims have it worse, and it must be because of those Jews ruling the government!

I couldn't find more data about other countries, but you're right, not all of them are the same: many of them have neglegible Jewish community. France and UK are the biggest ones. So I doubt Jews are the headway makers in Islamophobic crimes.
