I hate the logic in keeping the Joker alive anyway. "Hurr, I can't kill the Joker, muh code muh morals. Killing iz wrong, but I'd save thousands upon thousands of lives if I just killed him. OHWELLLOL"

It's one of the reasons why I just can't stand Batman anymore.

I think the people responsible for the Joker's victims (other than the Joker and his Hench-persons of course) are whoever was supposed to be responsible for funding security at Arkham or that Not-Alcatraz prison in Gotham harbor that they all keep escaping from. Batman does his correct duty in apprehending the Joker and turning him over to the state for containment and punishment, it is them who keep dropping the ball. Batman is not Frank Castle, if you want to read stories about a guy who executes criminals out of hand, might I suggest you read Marvel's The Punisher books.

I just think the whole "I cannot kill anyone! It is my moral code!" but then he goes and breaks in a few dozen mooks' skulls and everything's fine. Comic book logic, I know, but there's been collateral damage.

He's also a hypocrite. He was going to let Gordon kill the Joker for crippling Barbara, but not let Jason kill the joker for beating him to death with a damn crowbar and then blowing him up.
