Racist comments do not, in any way shape or form, merit being raped, her tongue cut out and her hands cut off - with branches stuck in her wrists for added horror.

Of all the things I've seen in movies and such, seeing her standing on that stump with no tongue and no hands after her rape was probably the most horrifying thing ever, so much so that I got creepy goosepimples up and down my spine. I mean, my skin actually crawled.

So no, just no, OP.

Taymor's film was actually pretty cool (just from a visual perspective) ... I still remember those twig-hands. (And Hopkins doing his Lector-making-the-scrumptious noise over the deep-dish sons.)
