Something I really liked about Titus was that they kind of played up Lavinia being a jerk, at least for that scene. I've seen live performances (and was in one as Tamora fuck yeah), and too often, in my experience, Lavinia is played as an angel. I mean, she's miles and miles better than everyone ELSE in the cast, but there's something to be said for making the point that even she's not really the kind of person you'd want to be friends with outside the play.

Don't mind me, but I really love Titus Andronicus.

Yeah, in a way, the way they played it off as very smarmy made Lavinia seem more tangible and human in that she had flaws, she wasn't just a "sacrificial lamb."
