I agree the Joker is better off dead. Even if they are against killing, he Joker is a serious threat that only gets worse and worse.

However, I don't think Superman should be the one to kill him. If Batman did it I honestly wouldn't have an issue, but Superman I could see falling down the slippery slope. Batman is supposed to be the emotionally flawed one, but Superman is suppose to be idealistic.

He's already stronger than everyone else and society will start to fear him if they see he's not as held together as they thought. The whole superhero thing is on thin ice because the government and citizens fear they will abuse their power. The only reason they can operate in the Justice League is because they DON'T use their powers to kill.

People see superheroes as gods, especially Superman, and that they uphold justice without getting emotionally involved. So killing out of rage kind of degrades them to people and makes them more likely to other outburst of violence.
