I don't know, it does seem like a dumb design, but I've heard good things about Kojima and his female characters (still need to play the games). I'm also the type of person who tries not make judgements on things before they actually come out and I experience them myself. You never know, maybe she changes outfits or something.

If she's a good character that doesnt mean they dont have to give her a shirt.
People justify in character reasons for why ghost in the shell's Major Motoko Kusanagi wears super skimpy clothes. And if she was a real person I'd say sure wear your skimpy clothes! but she's not she's made up by Masamune Shirow to look that way because he wants to draw skimpy clothed ladies and sell them to guys who wanna look at skimpy clothed ladies.

Apparently in males a part of brain corresponding with happiness is activated when they see a beautiful women. This design looks stupid and tights with holes make me uncomfortable, I hate this tighs style.

Yeah, I'm with you. I don't care what the reasons behind are in-character, it doesn't matter. It's just a bunch of guys designing a woman in the skimpiest possible outfit because it's hot to them. The rest is just insincere justification of the fact.

I think it's the bullshitting that really bothers me about it. Like, Bayonetta doesn't bother me because no one ever tried to say "well she dresses in skintight things because [pseudo-deep reason here]", it was always "she looks awesome like that". At least be honest about it.

Well I'm going to play the game either way, but I absolutely agree that it's a dumb character design. That said I do imagine there will be a reason for it, but I also get that it probably won't justify the terribleness of the design. We'll have to wait and see I suppose. I'm hoping she'll change outfits at some point, or that Kojima will at least include some alternative skin you can unlock for her or something.

And, really, even if they wanted her costume to be 'sexy', I feel like there were probably dozens of better ways to go about it than this. She's a good looking character outside of the clothes, but...yea.

(Metal Gear is known for it's fanservice though, so this didn't surprise me. I hope you can unlock this outfit for Big Boss to wear. I would probably never use it, but I would be amused at the possibility. ...And, hey, Boss could wear boxers in Peace Walker, and you could go on a date with a speedo wearing Kaz, so maybe it'll happen.)
