To be completely pedantic, series is both singular and plural.


And it's "midriff", not "mid rift", dammit! Similarly, it's "intents and purposes", not "intensive purposes"!

I honestly believed the phrase was "intensive purposes" until just a few years ago because I had never once seen it written down. So that one doesn't bug me because I've been there. Unless they actually know what it's supposed to be.
