To be completely pedantic, series is both singular and plural.

And it's "midriff", not "mid rift", dammit! Similarly, it's "intents and purposes", not "intensive purposes"!

Man. That would some freaky shit, if our bellies were located within rifts.

I honestly believed the phrase was "intensive purposes" until just a few years ago because I had never once seen it written down. So that one doesn't bug me because I've been there. Unless they actually know what it's supposed to be.

Oh, god, "intensive purposes" drives me up the WALL!
