Agh, two more:

"If I would have gone, I would have seen it."

"My sister and I's room."

That last one, I hear it more and more and it makes me want to weep.

Though the first one can still be worse: "If I would of gone."

I HATE when "I" is used in place of "me" like that. It's all over TV and songs so everyone thinks it's correct... I cry every time.

The thing is, that use isn't even in place of "me." Over-correction leads to "My mom loves my sister and I." That happens. But that "I" up there is replacing "MY." That's not even remotely correct.

I had an argument with someone in a comments section in a chat room about that last one...in involved basic misunderstanding about what was the subject of a question. I think it was someone asking someone something (starting with "are you...?" or something like that), and I asked "me or him?" because I wasn't sure who they were addressing...and we spent five minutes arguing about whether I was correct or not.

That's almost worse than someone just saying it wrong.

Wait, what's wrong with the first?

The conditional phrasing should only be in the second part of the sentence (the part that's conditional on the first part): "If I had gone, I would have seen it." People have taken to doubling the conditional, which just basically makes nonsense.

Thank goodness I'm not alone in that particular pet hate. It felt as though I were the only one who could see people fucking up the conditional tense all over the damned place.
