I've noticed this thing where conservatives try to prove how un-PC they are by being offensive. And they wonder why they have such a hard time convincing minorities and women to vote for them...

You know, I was thinking today: would any of these people go into work, walk up to their boss, and say "hey, you cocksucker, I finished that fucking report you asked me to write up. Man, what a fucking shit show?"

They wouldn't. They know it wouldn't be appropriate. If someone were reprimanded for speaking that way in the office, then they would understand. Yet they don't go around complaining about how they can't exercise their "freedom of speech" while at work.

When it comes to language in certain contexts, we have standards. We may be expected to be professional; we may just be expected to be courteous. But either way, it is generally recognized as being out of line for us to speak in certain ways. They go along with this until someone says that they shouldn't say something that, for whatever reason, they would really like to say, and then suddenly FASCISM!
