My parents were emotionally abusive and I am still trying to determine which parts were actually abuse and which parts were actually normal things that I shouldn't hold against them.

If it felt abusive to you, it was. Everyday 'punishments' (like grounding or some chores) can turn abusive for a kid who perceives and lives differently in the world. So basically - if you feel like something harmed you, then it did. Maybe in the future, with age, with experience, with therapy (optional), you can decide that some things *weren't*, but for now, go with your gut.

Just try not to dwell - easier said than done, i know, but unless you feel like you need to confront and question them, then it's pointless to go over and over it in your mind. Better to just decide on a course of action to deal with it all and try to move forward.

(And for the record, it sounds controlling, creepy, and abusive to me, especially the 'berating' you for stuff you didn't even remember.)
