Can't say I blame you. The girl's school uniform in this series is one of the ugliest I've seen in anime.

I never watched this series, but I've always wondered what was up with his hair. Like, that mane just goes beyond regular anime hair and into a whole new level. Those follicles are preposterous.

AFAIK, in an interview, Yu-gi-oh's creator said he deliberately made Motou Yugi's hair resemble the shape of a human hand - all of the upward spikes are supposed to resemble fingers. He did this because he wanted his main character to be extremely memorable. One of the first shapes we all memorize as infants is that of our own hands.

As a fan, I sometimes forget how ridiculous that hairstyle is. It kinda grows on you I guess, no pun intended.

I could get behind the hair, 100%, if it was a mohawk. But it looks exactly the same from the front, so... yea, it's just confusing as all get-out.
