for what it's worth i totally agree with your comments here. i can't relate to the people who say they get just as much out of watching a lp as playing the actual game. the fun for me is feeling like i am a part of the game, the one who is responsible and has to find x/beat boss/rescue y and the tension it brings, i could never get that out of watching someone else play.

Agreed. I don't mind if people prefer to watch LPs over playing a game, but I'm incredibly suspicious of people trying to claim that you get just as much out of it as if you'd played it. Especially considering how hyper defensive they are about it: "You don't know anything about me!" "Not everyone has to experience things the same way".

Like, just fucking accept that you're not getting the same experience and move on.
