I realize this is probably nostalgia goggles at work, but: The Rock, Gladiator, and Aliens. For something so gloriously 80s it hurts, Big Trouble In Little China. I've probably seen all four of these ten times or more.

More recently: Drive and District 9 blew me away (Elysium doesn't measure up, sadly). Also, There Will Be Blood! Can't forget that one.
