#1: Paprika. A device for viewing and modifying dreams is stolen and used maliciously to trap people in a dream state. Then the dreams start to overwrite reality. If you ever wondered what Philip K. Dick would be like on even MORE drugs, this is the movie for you.

#2: Pulp Fiction. Three interlinked stories of crime, punishment, and atonement, told out of chronological order. Has the best use of dramatic irony I've ever seen in a work of fiction. Also, there are at least five memes you'll suddenly understand after seeing the "What does Marcellus Wallace look like?" scene.

#3: Up. A bitter, lonely old man who's never had an adventure takes off to South America to fulfill his childhood dream. Alternately adorable and heartbreaking, it bears a powerful message, but doesn't beat you over the head with it. If you don't have much longer to live, this is the movie you should see before you die.
