...I know she isn't happy with being seen as "Hannah Montana" and all and her choice and stuff.

though at the same time, I always loved her as Hannah Montana and her early albums. She was the first Disney channel girl I identified with because she had a southern twang like me (sorta) and her music was poppy and fun. Even with Can't Be Tamed, I liked it still and thought that it was pretty classy about being more mature.

I had looked forward to her next album after Can't Be Tamed but most of the stuff on Bangerz.....really was nothing I was really into. It kinda made me sad but I moved on and found another artist I really liked and still liked now.

Sorry if this all seems really pointless and stupid. I don't mean to say she should have done this or that I just felt like saying my opinion.

...I'll just go now.

Dude, why would anyone make fun of you for this? You're cool man, you're cool.

And I totally get the feeling when a favorite artist moves in a direction you don't really dig and I like the fact you're not dissing Miley for it. Most people take stuff like that as a personal offense, like "how dare Miley not be the Miley I used to like anymore!" But you seem cool. You're more like "Miley's moved in another direction I don't really like but that's her business and I'll just move on too." I like that. You still respect her and her decisions even if you don't really like her actions.

You're groovy, OP. Keep being groovy.

Heh thanks. I guess I was a bit afraid of someone mocking my taste, because I used to get teased in fandom for liking unpopular things sometimes.

Yeah as I see it she's free to make her own choices. and While I really love her early stuff (its just kinda cute and fun music IMO) I can understand as an artist not liking earlier work of yours and I can sympathize with that. Also I can understand her resenting her younger image after having people always expect it of her , I remember when she was young people would always flip when she did something that plenty of other teenagers do. I remember a newspaper column calling people to boycott her over the vogue cover thing - when IIRC she was talked into it at 15 by an older photographer. They should have been blaming the photographer for trying to talk a teenage girl into it rather than being all "she should behave like this". I honestly feel bad for kid stars and teen stars working for 'family friendly' companies because of the pressure and the way people act when the kid falls out of line.
