Thank you! I should talk to her about limiting her beta superpowers. She likes to create longer sentences from my short ones. Or there was that one fic which sounded very victorian era after beta.

Yes! Do!

When I beta, I try to keep as close to the original author's style as possible. Correcting spelling, grammar, and awkward word usage. I want my "work" be invisible, because the readers aren't there to read MY fic. They're there to read yours.

Others, well... They try and turn it into the story they would like to write, if they could. I've seen that ruin many a good writer's style.

Don't be afraid to speak up, or reject anything that you really don't like. :)
