I have no problem with weed smokers themselves. They're people, and that means there's a range of "good" and "bad" weed smokers.

My issue is with the ones that feel the need to proclaim their habit to the world. The ones that walk around reeking of the stuff, that emblazon their social media profiles with weed related imagery, that brag incessantly about breaking the law where they live, the ones who insist that a date is special just because it's coincidentally related to their habit.

I don't know if the ones like that are the majority, or just a vocal minority, but it all comes across as juvenile, teenage, attention-seeking behaviour, of the "look what cool and forbidden thing I'm doing" kind.

The very fact that you got so defensive suggests that maybe you know this sort of behaviour is, in fact, rather pathetically juvenile?
