I read a lot of Richard Adams when I was about 11. This one, The Plague Dogs, and Traveller are still on the list of all-time favorites. Richard Adams is such an awesome author. Perfect for children and adults.

Hazel is a great character. But for me, Bigwig is my all time favorite. A total bad ass, with really well-done character development.

pantswarrior: Spock thinks everything is "fascinating". (fascinating)

I was all about Fiver. ...I just realized I connected with him in basically the same way and for the same reasons I connected with Raistlin like 8 years later when I got into Dragonlance. And now I'm wondering if there was some inspiration there...

It's a classic book. And I am still totally in love with Campion.

I feel weird the Watership Down didn't really click with me, I'm all about Plague Dogs when it comes to Richard Adams.

Yet people think I really like Watership Down, just because I like rabbits. hahaha?

Fellow Plague Dogs fan. *fist-bump*

Rowf is one of my all time favorite literary characters. His plight really got to me. I love Snitter too, but not as much as Rowf.

Somehow I could never stomach Plague Dogs. Like, it's a good story, but it's environmental message is just way overblown. Like the humans working for a facility with the acronym ARSE. It was just too much. Even when I was in my early teens I could never finish it because of that. :/
