Like everyone else has said, it's very possible that Tumblr ate the message.

But, they could also be one of those dicks where they revel in getting attention from people but are selective about who they respond to. I can understand getting upset about seeing all the fun going on without you, so I would recommend blacklisting/blocking them. If you don't want to try sending them another message first. I'd personally try to reach out one more time, and if they still ignore you, it's safe to assume that they're an asshole.
