It's possible the message got eaten-- I've had that happen both sending and receiving. But... I understand if it's too hard to put yourself out there to try again.

(also, I know a few people who are kind of BNFs (or at least I would consider them to be major fandom contributors with a lot of followers, which is... about the same?) who are... a little shy and awkward even if they want to be friendly, and they're really good at the thing that they became a BNF for and not necessarily great at meeting new people even if they want to. And I know I've said 'just talk to me' before but oh gosh I don't know how to have a conversation either... So, try not to take it personally!)
