He was bitter about her for refusing to kneel at the wedding and humiliating him

I'm pretty sure he understood her not wanting him though he HAD hoped that he'd eventually be able to get her to like him

In the books.

In the show, no one was naked, and he never touched her. Given OP used an image from the show, it's a bit difficult to determine which version of the character they're talking about.

For the umpteenth time, George R.R. Martin is married to a woman his own age that he's been with since the early 80s. Is someone paying you morons fifty cents every time you call him a pedophile?

A person can still have the impulses and actions of a pedophile while being married to someone their own age. It's often a way for them to camouflage their darker impulses.

TL;DR-Marriage has shit to do with making him less creepy.
