Thank you. The only cartoon I still watch from the 90's is The Powerpuff Girls and Recess.
Now Live Action, that was still fabulous in the 90's.

(hashtag someone please stop telling me about the 90's)

No love for B:TAS?

The nineties had a lot of great cartoons imo.

Never saw it, though I have heard good things. I didn't say everything in the 90's were shit, just...look at the stuff that's out. That stuff's cool too.

Ah, my bad. Sometimes people go to the extreme and say that the ninties were terrible for cartoons out of backlash.

Anyway, it is fantastic series. Check it out when you can.

spam great 90s cartoons

(Anonymous) 2014-04-22 11:15 pm (UTC)(link)
- Gargoyles
- The Magic School Bus
- Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego (shut up it totally counts)

(loved me my 90s edutainment, and Gargoyles counts because mythology and Shakespeare and gun safety)

How good was Reboot? I've heard it had good plots, but the '90s CGI always scared me away. (Same for Beast Wars, actually.)

The first season or two looks just a liiiiittle dated, but the later seasons pick up in both animation and story. It's worth watching for everything post-(hugeass spoiler).

I'd say Reboot is pretty good. The CGi, early on particularly, is dodgy and there are some silly cliches. But, it's still quite creative. Hexadecimal is still a favorite villain of mine.

s1 is totally episodic and badly animated but it's a good intro to the characters and it's pretty funny at times

s2 is a bit darker and they start to delve into multi-episode arcs while throwing in some decent spoofs and character building

s3 BROKE MY 11-YEAR-OLD BRAIN AND I CAN'T RECOMMEND IT ENOUGH GOD it's pretty much the reason why Reboot is a fandom for life as it completely scarred me for life as a preteen, it wouldn't be the same without the buildup over the first two seasons though

s4/the movies were a hot discontinued mess, although the Daemon arc was decent

Man, I am still holding out for a reboot of Reboot
