I have to admit, when it comes to Castle, fic and the two guys in my icon, I'm far more interested in reading about closeted gay Kevin (the smaller, prettier, more feminine white guy) pining for somebody, so maybe you've got me there. But when it comes to headcanon for the show and things that I could actually see justification for if it ever went that way (not that I think it would), it's the exact opposite.

I find that kind of strange, and I'm not sure why I'm not more interested in Esposito fic.

I just started watching Castle (marathoned it and have about 4 more episodes until I'm caught up to current).

I always thought there would be more to the bromance between Esposito and him. I'm still kinda disappointed there isn't.

I know, right? There's all this talk about how there's this great bromance, and every now and again a bone gets tossed our way, but mostly it's a whole lot of exposition and cockblocking.

I will say that, this season it seems like they've gotten a little more to do, case-work wise. More questioning and chases and less "Hey, lemme tell you what I found out while I was doing things offscreen" I think I heard something about Nathan Fillion wanting lighter days, and after 5+ years as the star/titular character he's earned some clout in that department.
