OP ARE YOU ME??

I refuse to watch anything that's longer than forty eps. "Shows that are longer than forty eps are crap" is my rule of thumb. I only ever make exceptions for (faithful) adaptations of books (e.g. Poirot).

I tried to give non-faithful currently-running adaptations a go, and guess what? I've ended up ragequitting every. Single. One. Of them. So, nope. Unless you've got a very strong case in favour of a particular series, there is no chance in hell I'm giving it a go.

When it comes to books, I'm less hesitant to pick up the series that are currently being published, but admittedly it is a new experience for me and I do fear that my favourites are going to be screwed over by the authors/aren't going to be finished before the author dies (one of my worst nightmares, tbh...). I just haven't been burnt yet.
