Sansa's pretty awesome in the books. You get to know her WAY more than on the show, because she's a POV character with all her thoughts laid out for you.

Also, I don't think anyone should feel bad about not wanting to read/watch the original of something when they like an adaptation, but it is super silly to say that the person who created a character can't 'do them justice'.
