you got me curious about your fandoms, op. anime?

when i think of all of the huge slash western fandoms and their big pairings, they all involve pretty masculine dudes. i think the least "masculine" big slash ship is sherlock/watson.

I thought it was a reference to C3PO because of the Star Wars typeface. Is there a lot of C3PO stereotyping in fic where he bottoms for R2D2?

I was serious when I started typing that... then I had the mental image of the robocopulation.

I've always mentally differentiated between shipping and headcanoning. With shipping, the focus is more on the characters, whereas headcanons are focused on the sexuality specifically. (Ex.: "Bob and Jim are in love"/"Bob is gay for Jim" vs. "Bob is gay". Does that make any sense?) When it comes to headcanons, I've noticed the more "feminine" men (relatively speaking) are often considered gay more than "masculine" men. [hope this makes sense, I am exhausted and my brain is melting]

Sorry for not replying sooner! The above poster is correct - I'm not referring to shipping exactly, but headcanons in particular. Of course slash is very popular and masculine dudes are as likely to be slashed as other male characters. However, headcanon-wise, people seem more likely to see feminine guys as gay. I hope this makes sense.
