I hated The Dark Knight and wasn't expecting The Dark Knight Rises to be any better, but watched it anyway because ANNE HATHAWAY AS CATWOMAN OMG YES. Ended up enjoying it quite a bit, although I don't think it was nearly as good as Batman Begins.

You hated The Dark Knight. D: I enjoyed TDKR as well (though I prefer TDK). My sister realllllyyy enjoyed it because she loves Tom Hardy.

Yeah, I feel kind of bad about hating TDK because it was hyped up as the best Batman film everrrrrrrr and I had really high expectations, then I watched it and was just... disappointed. Heath Ledger was great as the Joker and the guy who played Two-Face was pretty good too, but they were the only things I liked about it.
