I saw John de Lancie at a fairly small-ish convention shortly after the end of TNG. He was a giant asshole and acted like all the fans were completely beneath him. Imagine my rage when I found out he was a card-carrying brony but he couldn't possibly stand in a room of (actually fairly tame considering) Trekkies.

On the flipside, I got to speak very briefly to Sam Raimi during SeaQuest's heyday when he was randomly a guest in what amounted to the snack bar of a NASA event day. I felt so sorry for him because whoever decided he should be a guest didn't really pay attention to the purpose of the day (anniversary of the moon landing) and then they stuck him on a stage with 8 people around. He kept trying to get people in the audience to ask questions but there wasn't any, so he just went off stage and signed autographs. He was very sweet. I still have the poster he signed even though this was prooobably 20 years ago.
