It teaches people like philstar how to work with others, yes. But it teaches people who fail to contribute that they can get away with letting others do their work for them.

...unfortunately, you're right. :-/

I spoke below about my own experience in the working world, but when I really think about it, I've probably been pretty fortunate. There's a fuckton of people who skate by and get others to pick up the tab for them.
