i think he fits the role perfectly. i don't even care if it's typecasting and in his comfort zone. i mean come on, 'insecure antsy middle aged guy who keeps getting himself into trouble'? it's a perfect match!
also, i don't have trouble seeing the character and not the actor, because lester is 10 times more agitated than any of freeman's other characters, and he has his own insecurities that set him apart from the rest.
and anyway, i'd love the show even if i didn't feel that way, because it's not a show that takes itself very seriously.
