Ice Cream Flavors

What do you think should be a readily available flavor of ice cream?

I vote just plain peanut butter ice cream.

Lemon. Like, lemon ice cream, not lemon gelato.

And specifically, lemon chocolate chip. And more specifically, the lemon chocolate chip at the ice cream shop that was down the street from my family's house when I was a kid.

Mint chocolate chip and coffee are my two favorites. I'm a chocoholic most of the time and I hate the taste of coffee, but for some reason coffee ice cream is my favorite. And mint ice cream with just that bit of chocolate is perfection too.

Green tea, maybe? I had green tea ice cream once and it came in a mochi wrapper thingy and the mochi wasn't my thing at all, but I liked the smooth, sweetish taste of the ice cream. I'm sure they probably carry it at like Fresh Market or something but I'm a simple woman who shops at Publix for groceries.

Peanut butter ice cream would be awesome.

Um, most of what I like is available. For store-bought, I usually just go with vanilla (and eat it with honey, which is super good); when I go out to get ice cream there are usually so many flavors to pick that it's hard to narrow it down to one or two :P

Now that cotton candy ice cream has finally become readily available in my local grocery stores, I'm casting my vote for Boston cream pie ice cream.

Dark chocolate with orange. Baskin-Robbins used to have this--it was a flavor called mandarin chocolate sherbet--but I haven't seen a Baskin-Robbins in years, and I really want some dark chocolate orange ice cream.

This used to be a Walmart-brand flavor, and it was like...choclaty mocha ice cream with fudge stripes and delicious little choclaty brownie pieces and maybe there was some marshmallow fluff in there and it was dirt cheap and friggin delicious. All the mocha-type flavors I've found since have had hard chocolate chunks (ick!) or almonds or an overwhelming espresso flavor. RIP favorite icecream.

You could just make your own and peanut butter is pretty easy.

Take a pint of heavy whipping cream (16oz) and using a big bowl and whisk mixer attachment (popping them into the refrigerator for a few minutes before starting really helps), beat it to a soft peak (when you pull your whisk out, the cream will peak and just start to hold shape - the peaks are soft and melt back into themselves after a second). Fold in a can (14oz) of sweetened condensed milk until completely combined. Add in any flavoring you desire (vanilla extract, almond extract, etc.). Freeze in the freezer for several hours (overnight is better).

For peanut butter: Before whipping the cream, take about 6 Tbsp. of cream and mix with about 1/2 cup of peanut butter (you can up these if you want a more peanut butter flavor). You just want a more liquid texture so it will combine better. Once you have whipped the rest of the cream and folded in the sweetened condensed milk, mix in the peanut butter-cream mixture until thoroughly combined (this is your flavoring, though you can add a little vanilla or vanilla nut extract if you like). (I usually add some marshmallow cream here for a fluffernutter flavor.) And freeze.

Baskin-Robbins had a white chocolate caramel something flavour that was lovely, but the last Baskin-Robbins I knew of in this area shut down at some point and the Zafaras (coffee shop) next door extended.

I like Green Tea, though I can only get it from one place.

I currently have a tab of Cadbury vanilla and choc-chip which is nice.
