Tea!

(Anonymous) 2014-04-30 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you drink tea FS? What kind! Bags or loose? Do you just use a mug or do you get a full army of stuffed animals for a proper tea party?

My favorite tea is decaffeinated peppermint green tea. I always drink it in the same mug - one I got in a hot chocolate gift-set for Christmas a few years ago - and if I can't get sugar cookies I like to have toast to eat while I drink it.

No. Not hot tea. Not iced tea. Not green tea. No kinds of tea. Only coffee.

(Anonymous) 2014-04-30 11:54 pm (UTC)(link)
I drink both loose and bagged, but I much prefer loose! My favorite is Earl Grey.

Both teabags and looseleaf in a plain mug, depending on how much time I have or what I'm in the mood for. Every once in a while I'll bake scones and get out the good tea set. :)

Tea is almost the only thing I drink. Though I do start drinking juice when it becomes really hot outside.

I used to be a great connoisseur of teas, but unfortunately education happened and I accustomed myself to drinking god fucking awful cafeteria tea as a means of socializing (cafeteria was the place where everyone gathered during the breaks). As a result, I ceased to care what the contents of my mug are as long as they aren't a solution of HCl and manure.

I haven't thrown a proper tea party for my army of stuffed toys in a long time. Thanks for reminding me to do that, anon! I usually use bags, don't like fiddling with strainers. I usually just drink English Breakfast (one sugar) but I like sampling others. My favourite is probably Valentine Breakfast but they're super expensive - at least, over here. I bought some Mint Chocolate when I went to DC and I'm really loving it.

I rarely drink tea that is low in caffeine though. Not sure why, I'm not exactly good with caffeine.

I mostly get loose leaf tea from a local tea shop. I love rooibos teas and white teas. I tend to prefer fruity stuff and one of my absolute favorite flavors in tea is rose hip.

I usually drink some kind of instant fruit tea. Lemon or orange with ginger. I have some bags of cinnamon... something, and chamomile apple, but I haven't had them in a while.

I like Chai and English Breakfast a lot, but only if someone else makes them, because I suck at preparing them.

I love tea! I am not a tea connoisseur by any means, but I drink more of it and in more variety than I used to, so I'm becoming more familiar with it. It's relaxing and tasty and delicious. I drink it in the evening while relaxing or studying, or with my dinner, or occasionally with my breakfast.

I have several favorites. A longtime favorite of mine is this chai tea, I think that's what it is, by a specific brand that I put milk and honey in. (it's also the only tea I put things in.) A winter favorite is definitely peppermint. Probably the tea I drink the most is plain ol' green tea though.

I have never made free-leaf tea. I don't have a strainer or anything. It would be cool to try, though.

I drink a lot of tea. Mostly black tea, almost always looseleaf. A lot of Chinese teas recently - it seems like they often go in a whole different direction compared to the Indian teas and I really like it. Also some oolong, especially more in the afternoon. I usually use a mug, or my fancy Teavana Yixing tea tumbler if I'm going somewhere and want to drink tea, because it is actually pretty awesome.

I don't know. I like tea. It tastes good. It makes sense to me.

I make my own bubble tea! Sans the tapioca bubbles.
I just quarter fill whatever mug I am going to use with my tea of choice and some honey, leave it to get nice and intense, then pour that and a lot of milk into a cocktail shaker and shake it (note, you want your tea to be cold because otherwise it tends to explode a bit and I am so lucky I was never scalded while learning this). The result is a very nice and frothy cold tea that tastes gorgeous. It's nice with almond milk if you don't want to use cow milk.

I mostly can't be bothered with looseleaf, even though I do like it better (I'm just constantly moving around, so bringing complicated tea paraphernalia along isn't so convenient).
I like brown rice green tea (현미녹차)and got laughed at by Koreans when I said I missed that about Korea.
I also like oolong, various chais, Earl Grey, and Chamomile.

...actually tbh the only kind of tea I'm not really crazy about is fruit tea. Oh, and fennel.

Loose and bagged--loose love jasmine/ vanilla jasmine. Bagged--I love pomegranate rooibos (any kind of rooibos). My favorite is my grandmother's loose tea, which I suppose is akin to chai.

I drink it in a lovely mug that has flowers on it. I also enjoy iced tea. And I'll drink tea anytime. With anything. Alone is fine too.

Yup.

Unless something drastic happens, I start with a cup of looseleaf black, usually darjeeling or a cinnamon-plum flavour (in winter). After that I go to bagged black or herbal. Sometimes I'll have a cup of green (genmaicha or this fantastic walnut flavour) in the afternoon. I think I average about four cups a day.

I mostly use mugs because dishwasher, but on special occasions I get out the pretty cups and saucers.

I mainly drink tea when I'm sick or when it's really cold. Peppermint and jasmine are some of my favourites, and right now the only teas I have in my pantry are peppermint and honey lemon.

My taste buds finally got around to liking tea about a year or two ago, and now I drink a cup or so a day! I mix it up a bit when it comes to bag or loose, but mostly bags as it's easier.

My favourite tea is Cara McGee's Peeta blend from Adagio (http://www.adagio.com/signature_blend/blend.html?blend=19536), but unfortunately it's so fucking expensive to ship it to where I live so I don't drink it all that much as I save it for occasions where I need cup of comfort tea. For a more affordable one that I really like is a caramel and vanilla tea from Lipton (I think), though that's also a bit of a comfort tea for me. Peppermint teas are also really good, especially after a stressful day! Or a cup of Earl Grey with a splash of milk in the morning if I'm not in a coffee mood. That's also great.

Since I can't drink coffee anymore, I've started collecting tea varieties.

I drink a lot of herbal tisanes(peppermint & ginger) since it helps a bit with pain relief.

I think my favourite flavor of tea at the moment is Rose & French Vanilla by Dilmah.

I have a variety of chai rooibos, my favorites are caramel flavored. I stay away from caffeine. I also treat my tea more like coffee.

I drink a lot more iced tea than hot. I really only drink hot tea when I'm sick. or at a Chinese restaurant. Flavor isn't as important, although I like black teas over green.

Re: Tea!

About a third of one of the shelves in my pantry is devoted entirely to tea. I mostly do bagged tea for the convenience; loose tea isn't always easy to find around here unless you're willing to get pressured by the staff at Teavana. (I do like a lot of their teas, I just hate the sales tactics and thus avoid the stores.) Mostly I go for English breakfast, earl grey, or lady grey, with the occasional bit of milk or honey depending on my mood. I have both a selection of pre-spiced chais and a jar of chai masala, although the latter ends up in more cookie recipes than cups of tea. There's also a wide selection of fruity herbal teas hanging out with the "real" teas, mostly for the purposes of icing in the summer.

Yes, bagged and loose, whatever is there at the moment. My favourite are natural flavor fruit teas (none of that strange vanilla aroma stuff... or spices, instant no go) and chamomile. I use a mug and always use sugar or honey for sweetening but no cookies or anything else to eat beside.
My mom used to pack me unsweetened chamomile tee for school during elementary and lower secondary school.

I drink herbal tea in the morning and that's it. I feel better about having no caffeine. I do sweeten it with one of those no calories type of things, but that's it. Gets me through the first hour of work!

I looooooove tea. I have a tumbler that I got from Teavana for brewing single servings of loose-leaf tea, and I can't begin to imagine how many gallons of tea I've made with it. Lately I've really settled on Irish Breakfast as my favorite variety (I recommend Trader Joe's store brand, I have tried several brands and theirs is def the best), but I love me some black teas in general. Pu erh is nice too.

I also have discovered an amazing white tea at World Market, it is double vanilla and it comes in a cute little glass jar and it is so pretty and delicious and hnnnnghhh. I'm about to go make some right now.
