My SO had unprotected sex with another woman. He expects me to forget it ever happened and 'stop living in the past'. It hasn't even been six months since it happened.

No. No no no no. People who think they get to decide when the people they hurt should get over and move past what they did to them. No. He's already made plenty of shitty judgement calls, he doesn't get this one.

Unless he's gotten himself tested for STDs, shown you the results and apologized profusely AND demonstrated he's sorry and it won't happen again, I'd dump this fucker pronto. He's not interested in making this up to you, he wants you to forgive him without him going through the effort of not being a douchebag. You deserve better.

Embarrassingly I snooped at the woman's facebook and she doesn't seem to be the type to have an STD, but then again she mentions many times how intelligent, smart, and gifted she is and yet she had unprotected sex with a stranger....yeah. I know people make mistakes, but it would be stupid to assume he was the only person she jumped into the sack with unprotected/sober :/

I don't have unprotected sex since I'm not ready to support a child. We haven't had sex since I found out, and for a few weeks before then. (Supposedly when it happened, should have been a red flag...) He refuses to get tested because he 'feels fine' and she was a 'nice girl and I was the only person she had sex with in a long time', as if that would mean she couldn't have had it for years....eh. It's only been a few months and it's still hard. I probably will end it eventually if he doesn't or starts showing signs...
