Re: Popular ships you anti-ship for benign reasons
There are some ships that I avoid in all fashions, even in fic, because I like the platonicness so much. CJ/Toby from The West Wing is a big one. Jack/Liz. Lassiter/Juliet. Eleven/Amy. James/Sirius. Spock/McCoy. Han/Luke. Buffy/Willow. Sisko/Jadzia.

(Anonymous) 2014-05-07 12:28 am (UTC)(link)This is definitely true for me as well. But especially in cases where people are working together or you have kind of a found family thing going on, I just cannot ship anyone within that dynamic unless it's explicitly canonical. Like The West Wing. Noooooope not shipping anything. It just doesn't work for me - I think it's because in those situations I like seeing all the intercombinations between different people in the group, and seeing them as a unit, not pairing people off.
