(I was disgusted when I saw some people calling the OP of that story a "hero". THERE IS NOTHING REMOTELY HEROIC ABOUT WHAT THEY DID.)

They are a piece of shit, and I hope no one else ever goes to them with an actual problem, because I honestly don't think I could trust them to help.

and if it wasn't true...it's kinda gross to attentionwhore off of a made up case of CHILD MOLESTATION just to defame a fandom you don't like.

(also minor nitpick but....the "nickname" they gave the girl 'Babby'? Sheez talk about patronizing.)

(Yeah... That weirded me out, and I know I would have been weirded out when I was 11. Maybe if it was a diminutive of my name? Like Barbara/Babby or something, but still! Of course, that was me. |D)

(Heh.. I suppose. All I know is that when I read that thing my first thought was "propaganda" like ....it was engineered to press all the outrage buttons. That plus it being full of holes....yeah)

Oh yeah that was definitely fishy.

I was like "oh come on you're talking about how you want to do all this stuff to him and you're so mad....but you're not telling anyone? WTF?"

(and then afterward when she deleted, there was a post getting mad at the bronies for bullying her off when she clearly deleted because people pointed out the problems with her story and she realized she was in deep. That's honestly my biggest problem with tumblr social justice warriors. They never own up to anything. It's always someone else's fault./rant)

Almost every time there's been a comic that calls out some of their nasty behavior the reaction was always the same "omg this never happens" *death threats* A few times people have been bullied to deleting the post.

Just wow the critical levels of self unawareness are ridiculous.

Did you see the person who made the post about how sometimes all they wanted to do was play video games, instead of talk about all the social justice issues? They got bullied into deleting their original post for the crime of... Not always wanting to talk about social justice issues, and wanting to use the internet as their outlet to destress.

The horror.

That's why I hate when SJWs pitch a fit when someone doesn't reblog their post about a social issue or a triggering issue or unfollows them. They assume that the only reason someone could unfollow them is because the person HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATES them and their cause. Not just because they're overwhelmed.

Or those "reblog this to prove you're not____". Fuck no I used to reblog those all the time but now I just scroll by because I'm not obligated to reblog a bunch of shit to assure people of my beliefs. I know I'm not homophobic and I wouldn't treat a friend differently for being gay/bi/trans. If I get judged by someone for not reblogging that 1,258th "reblog if you're not homophobic" post, then that someone can just fuck off.

Oh yeah and on this one blog , I saw the blogger being harassed by an anon for not reblogging social justice stuff because it was making her feel depressed about the world. The anon kept calling her selfish and acting like the blogger had some obligation to blog about SJ stuff.

I have tumblr hate, and I use it to make all those posts go away. :D The only one I still reblog is the one pointing out that those are dumb.

That's awful! I hope they didn't get pressured to leave or anything.

Oh yeah me too. I sometimes feel bad when I tumblr hate stuff that I don't really HATE, I just don't want on my dash. Other times I'm like "HATEHATEHATEHATEHATE!" Like I don't have anything against disliking the movie Frozen because different opinions and all, but lately I've taken to tumblr hating all the "the girls all look the SAAAAME posts". Mostly just because I'm just like "i am so sick of hearing about this."

I don't think so. But I really felt bad for them. It really sucks to have someone guilt tripping you for wanting to make tumblr your stress-free place or some might say safe space. (funny, for all the radicals that twitter about tumblr being their "safe space" they don't seem to have a lot of regard for others who want to escape the problems of the world)

Let's be real, tumblr isn't, and will never be a "safe place" unless you password protect your blog. BUT. That doesn't mean you have to be an asshole.

Yeah. Also for me it's like...idk...I do kinda like it and while I believe people have their own opinions, it does get tiring seeing something you like bagged on for the fiftieth time. Like I enjoyed the Divergent books before there was a movie and seeing all the "omg the book is so TERRIBLE" just made me feel a bit sad about what that meant about me. Maybe I'm just oversensitive though.

That's true. I can't stand when people use "MUH SAFE SPACE" as an excuse to attack everyone who doesn't agree with them especially when they don't have any regard for others and their blogs. Also I can't stand the "I hate all ____" sorts and the people who's attitude is basically "fuck you" to everyone.

I hate how that kind of super "hostile to everyone" attitude is glamorized on some parts tumblr and the "OMG I DON'T EXIST TO MAKE YOU COMFORTABLE OMG!11" mindset. Especially when "I don't exist to make you comfortable" suddenly turns into "Please censor all these words and trigger warn for this this and everything else" Just...urgh. It just screams "it's all about ME ME ME ME MEMEEEEEE" Also the attitude of "i'm going to treat all of y'all like UTTER SHIT until you prove your worth" is not a very practical attitude for the real world (or anywhere).

It's like they don't get that there's a HUGE difference between 'not compromising yourself for the comfort and expectations of others' and being a huge self centered diva who feels entitled to treat people like shit and get treated like a princess in return. The first is okay and even healthy and the other is well...unproductive , unhealthy, unpleasant and obnoxious.

Sorry for the huge rant on tumblr. I hope I don't sound like a jerk here.

Nah, you sound fine. :) Tumblr's attitudes tend to be pretty toxic at times, and it's really really frustrating. If you ever need/want to rant, I totally don't mind listening, either here, or on tumblr itself- for, as toxic as parts are, I still have made some pretty good friends there, and they're worth it.

Luckily I had it pretty easy when I started out because I just joined it to hang out with my RP friends. I expanded my friends group and been careful about who I follow and had a pretty good time.

Also my RP friendgroup is pretty cool and they are rational about social justice and know when to call bullshit to things.

I could never leave tumblr because I have so much on my tumblr and so much work put into my personal.
