Honestly, it's not a bad movie. It's cheesy, yes, you know how it's going to end, but I don't think it's bad and I rewatched it most recently two months ago. (I'm 26 and only saw it a couple of times as a kid.)
The Care Bear Nutcracker is... less good, but Care Bears in Wonderland just makes me grin, and Care Bears II -- I can't actually be rational about Care Bears II. Nicholas' movie is actually pretty good about reasons people might be lonely and angry. (The original Care Bears feature, Land Without Feelings, is also good about it, but is *much* less pretty. Also doesn't feature music. YMMV.)

(Anonymous) 2014-05-15 01:10 am (UTC)(link)Many, many years ago I made an AMV for them. It's long gone from history, but I still think this song fits them:

I can see that song for them.

Yep, that was my first ship, too.

There's actually a surprising amount of art on Deviantart, some of which is really good!

No, I don't trust the Care Bears reboot not to try, at this point I don't trust *anyone*.

(I never really believed he was straight-up human after that anyway.)

And the shadow knows something's missing. It can't quite think, but it can *tell* it's... alone. It is not down with this. Find that missing piece.
I can work with this plotbunny.

If you liked Wonderland, you might like Nutcracker, the villains are very similar. Characters more like those in Wonderland are in Nutcracker and the Care Bears Movie. But my heart belongs forever to Care Bears II.

I don't know if it would hold up to watching at my current age, you know? I do tend to find a lot of very children's-stuff less interesting. Maybe when I'm closer to having kids I'll give it a watch and see if I like it enough to give to them :) at least that'll give me a proper watching goal, so I won't have to whinge to myself about plotting and characterization.
