Put about a half cup of your raw oats into a sealable container, then add an equal or greater amount of a plain yoghurt (vanilla, greek, natural, etc) to it and mix well. Seal the container and leave it in the fridge for at least overnight. In the morning take it out, stir in some berries or other fruit, nuts, plus honey if you need sweetness, and you have "bircher" muesli.

If you like oats hot, I cook equal amounts of oats and water until nice and mealy, then stir in half a grated apple, top with a spoonful of yoghurt for creaminess, and dust over with cinnamon.

This bircher muesli thing sounds awesome. And in the morning it would definitely work better, because there's no way I'm waking up even 10 minutes before I have to to cook oatmeal... and I hadn't thought of using cinnamon either, but I see it's a popular choice.

I think I'm going to prepare it tonight for tomorrow. :D

It's awesome! Enjoy!

Also anon below me reminded me of how my nana used to eat oats: hot cooked with brown sugar and butter stirred in. Sweet, buttery deliciousness!

Goooooooood. :D I used butter to toast them before cooking them this time around, but tbh I'm not sure it was a good idea because I had to boil them anyway later, so... but I could try toasting them and then eating them cold in yogurt too?

But oh yes, doing that thing with the butter and the brown sugar, right away. I fear this might become my new food-drug.
