Hahaha.
If someone whispered "Hail hydra" in my ear randomly I would laugh for a good five minutes. (Then ask them what their favorite scene in Winter Soldier was.)

If, however, they started talking about endless brainwashing and body possession, that is clearly the comics.

If they're a huge Cap fan they would probably have seen the film by then though! ...Unless they couldn't for whatever reason, or just weren't interested in the first place...
Ah well. It'd still be amusing!

I was expecting it to be good (I did read some of the Winter Soldier comics before the film was released, but not a ton), but it still surprised me. I'm glad people are loving it so much.

The movie was still in theaters last week, but I guess it probably isn't everywhere. If only the DVD and Blu-ray's would come out already... Would be nice if it wouldn't take months to appear on Netflix, too.
Are you a bigger X-men fan? I haven't heard too much about DOFP and didn't read up on any of the comics for that one, so I'll be going in blind. Hopefully it exceeds expectations. (I just really didn't want time travel...)

(Anonymous) 2014-05-20 02:19 am (UTC)(link)Oh yes, I'm a much bigger X-Men fan, since I was a kid. I only got into the rest of Marvel much later. The original DOFP was just two issues long, by the way. I'm not a fan of time travel either, but in this case I'm glad for it because it's probably, hopefully a way to correct the movie continuity. Get the First Class people in, ignore the mess of X3, maybe we'll get a Cyclops again later on... I'm hopeful.

Two issues? Huh, that isn't long at all. I wonder if I can hunt that down. I admit to watching X-Men cartoons as a kid, but I didn't touch the comics. Wish I had, now...
It's funny because I don't mind time travel in itself, but for some reason when I heard X-Men was going to go there with the next film (even though it's far from shocking) it put me off and made me less interested. Maybe because I liked First Class so much that I wanted a more direct sequel, but I guess in ways DOFP will include some of that.
I hope it turns out just as good as the previous one, if not better. Wasn't a huge fan of the other X-Men movies, but they were fun in their own right; if this one isn't absolutely terrible I'll probably enjoy it.

(Anonymous) 2014-05-20 03:15 am (UTC)(link)Many repliers found that specific aspect extremely creepy and horrifying and some said "wow, nope, I can't interact with you anymore" and I just wanted elaminator to see it.

(Anonymous) 2014-05-20 03:20 am (UTC)(link)Do you plan on bringing it up everytime they talk to someone? I don't know, the way you went about informing them just rubs me the wrong way. A PM would have been better.
Re: awwww, shucks
First off, they commented on one of my icons, I said thanks like you do. Not that big a deal.
As for the actual thread you linked me to... I feel like we're in an AU fandomsecrets where everyone is opposite, either that or elephan was deep trolling people. Idk, this is extremely confusing and not at all how I pictured them. This is fucking with my head.
If you ever have anything else you think I should see, maybe send me an ask on tumblr? (If you don't want to just PM me.) I'm not sure this is the right place to do this and I feel guilty for even replying.

(Anonymous) 2014-05-20 05:05 am (UTC)(link)I must have looked confused because he motioned to my purse. Specifically, the Captain America's Shield keychain I had clipped to the strap. He was still sanding there, smiling at me, so I said, "Hail Hydra," back. He nodded and walked away. I continued with my shopping and I didn't see him again.

You've made me realize I need a Cap keychain!

(Anonymous) 2014-05-21 06:05 pm (UTC)(link)I have Iron Man's helmet, Thor's hammer, Hulk's fist, Cap's shield, a black widow spider, and a bow/arrow keychain that I rotate.
