I'm guessing. People make a big deal about his butt and so does the game.

But... don't they all have the more or less same character model?

Yup, but that doesn't stop people or a Shepard that has previously romanced him.

Maybe they have all have the same model, idk, but I still love Kaidan's ass. (And found the scene in question highly amusing.)

I did find that moment funny too.
