I really, really liked him in Captain America 1. And then, yeah, he felt like kind of a judgemental tool in The Avengers. Although really, everyone in The Avengers felt like more of a dick than they did in previous movies, so I'm trying to hold it against the writer rather than the characters, but I didn't have the heart to see Cap 2 (or Iron Man 3, come to think of it.)

You're missing out on a great movie by not seeing Winter Soldier, though. Iron Man 3 was "eh" for the most part imo, but still fun to a degree.

I've heard Steve felt more Steve-like again in Winter Soldier, so I think I'll try it on DVD. My problem is I was so excited about The Avengers and then HATED it, I think I have a fear of that happening again. I should do a double bill of First Avenger (which I adored) and Winter Soldier sometime.

Steve was FANTASTIC in TWS. Everyone was, it was a great character movie.
