Part of why I flat-out adore MCU Steve is because he's so much less judgmental than a bunch of his comics iterations.

But movie!Steve isn't all that judgey? Especially compared to his comics version. Besides, if Cap's judging you, it's usually for good reason and you deserve it. And anyone who hates a face that adorable and earnest is probably a jerk js

I could talk for hours about how much I fucking LOVE movie!Steve but dear god his characterization in The Avengers was absymal. Whedon should just let the Cap writers do his parts because he clearly has no idea what to do with a character like Steve Rogers.

I really, really liked him in Captain America 1. And then, yeah, he felt like kind of a judgemental tool in The Avengers. Although really, everyone in The Avengers felt like more of a dick than they did in previous movies, so I'm trying to hold it against the writer rather than the characters, but I didn't have the heart to see Cap 2 (or Iron Man 3, come to think of it.)

I feel like this says more about you than it does about him, tbh. If you get judged by movie Steve, you probably deserve it. He's a very standup guy and I would trust his assessments of people.

(I have gotten the feeling before that Steve would judge me for something, and came to the conclusion that he would be right to do so. Then I did not do the thing.)

Man, I really miss his Avengers hairstyle. The one he sported in Cap 2 just doesn't work for me.
