Lysa had sex with Petyr when he thought she was Cat/was unable to consent due to being drunk. (...if I'm remembering what happened correctly which I might be because it's been so long)

But Petyr also manipulated Lysa, took advantage of her feelings for him, used her and then killed her.

Would you say the same about Robert raping Cersei? That Cersei also did bad things to him and therefore isn't completely innocent in the situation?

But lmao I'm no Cersei apologist. She does some incredibly fucked up things.

Anyway the main difference is: Cersei kills Robert in direct response to his rape and abuse of her.

Petyr's murder of Lysa isn't at all related to what happened when they were younger. (which he doesn't view as rape. i mean, it doesn't mean it ISN'T. but he doesn't see it that way so it's not informing/motivating his actions)

Yeah. Nowhere in the book or the movie was it said that it was otherwise. I mean, the fact she hated him obviously made it easier for her to do it, but there was a very specific reason she did it right then.

They were married for 14 years. I'm sure at the beginning, heck maybe even in the middle, she didn't have as much control over him as she later gained at the end.

I mean, Petyr did fucked up shit...but that doesn't mean that's it cool to ignore the fact that she raped him [and, at least where I live, that's what it would be considered] and make him the only one whose done screwy shit.

People aren't usually like, "I hate Lysa because she raped Petyr!". They tend to just be like "UGH. I'M SO GLAD THAT CRAZY BITCH IS DEAD."

Fandom tends to just paint her as crazy without examining why that might be and how life did her wrong and why that might have made her that way and how Petyr took advantage of her fragile mental state.

Yup, same here. While I enjoy FK's arguments sometimes (even most of the time) she does come across as an arbiter of what's ~right and ~wrong with GOT. Like, have your opinion dude but don't act like yours is the only valid one.
