For this movie only being okay, I am ridiculously fond of it. (Especially Jensen and Cougar. I would've spent two hours watching only them, though the rest of the cast is cool too.)

As for why they were working in a doll factory...maybe it was the only thing they could find? Who knows. (I'm okay with Cougar taking his shirt off wherever he wants.)

I often feel like I (not including the friends I saw this with) am the only one out there who doesn't love it. Jensen and Cougar are really the only things I liked about it.

I'm sure you aren't. In that Evans rec thread we had there were a couple people who didn't like it. (I'm pretty sure, anyway.)

I don't know why it worked so well for me, only that it did. It's very much a feel good movie.

I personal think the scene when Jensen's "I can kill you with my mind" scene, and Cougar coming through for him, singlehandedly saves the movie.

I personally enjoyed the rest of it as well, but that scene was a highlight. It's the first thing I think of when I hear the title. (The music as he tries to escape and Evans changing in the elevator beforehand...oh, it was glorious.)

Plus when Aisha points the gun at his dick!

And when they all go to Jensen's niece's soccer game and he gets into a fight with the ref. Really, Evans made that movie so much better than it would've been otherwise.

I enjoyed everyone else too, and the dynamics of the cast, but...Jensen was adorable.

"I know it sounds crazy, but yes!" Definitely a high point. Telepathy wins because Cougar is involved.

Critics didn't like the movie, and only a little more than half the people that watched it did, as well. So you're definitely not alone.

I like it for the cheesiness. For me, it's a great "shut my brain off and stare in delighted confusion" movie.

Headcanon it as Captain America and Heimdall (and John Winchester, if you're familiar with Supernatural). It becomes totally hilarious.

Try the comics, if you haven't. They are more than ok. But be prepared for heartbreak.

(*waves, btw.* tis chatty anon!)

lmao, I should do that. It's entertaining in its own right, but that's perfect. (And yup, I watched the first 6, maybe 7 seasons of SPN and love me some JDM.)

I've always meant to try the comics because I heard they were excellent, but never got around to it. I did hear about the heartbreak bit too though, so that kind of...makes me wary of them. How long are they?

Ooo, we should call you Bucky-anon! (~so~ original, I know) Hi again!

I rewatched it last weekend because Amazon recc'd it to me because I bought the CA:tWS artbook (silly Amazon) and I wanted to relive the ridiculousness.

Comic run was 32 issues long, and it's been collected both into 5 trades and two larger anthologies. The latter are an excellent price.

I won't lie. The end hurts, but that's only because the ragtag group of antiheroes is so damn endearing. Makes it hard for me to do anything to do but recommend the comics, especially when they are so superior to the movie. If nothing else, reading it for Jensen's boxers. :)

Bucky has consumed everything else about my life, why not my name as well? :p

Ooo, is the artbook nice? I'm SURE the artbook is nice, I think I've seen a few scans floating around tumblr. I hope you enjoy it!

32 issues is rather short, actually. Huh. Might try it.

Mmm Jensen in boxers. That was one of the reasons I had an interest in them in the first place. I'm easy.

Truer words, my friend.

All the MCU artbooks are gorgeous. The Winter Soldier is no exception, and it has the full murals from the Air and Space museum exhibit. I wish they'd been more prominant in the film, because they're awesome. Also fun is to see the various Soldier designs (which is funny on top of it, because ultimately they just copied Epting's design). There are also some breathtakingly BAD Falcon designs. :)

As I said, I'd have a hard time not reccing The Losers to someone who found the movie enjoyable. Especially if you understand there is heartbreak.I was reading it on release days and...yeah.

:) Jensen is a badass dork in the comics just as much as the movie. Highly enjoyable character.

Apparently I am typoanon tonight. 3 hours of sleep is not enough...

Between and it has the full murals from the Air and Space museum exhibit and There are also some breathtakingly BAD Falcon designs I really want this. Maybe for Christmas...

I DO love heartbreak, but I'm also the kind of person who typically likes a happy ending after that heartbreak. Still, that can't always happen.

I am admittedly a bit biased towards Evans in general, but he did a great job with Jensen.

3 hours of sleep is not nearly enough! Geez, how were you even managing? Try to get more sleep tonight!

The artbooks are all so sadly expensive. Christmas seems a good idea if peoples will buy you that sort of thing (my family is usually resistant to enabling my fangirling).

Eh. I can't say anything more about the heartbreak without spoiling things completely, and I don't know how far your knowledge spans.

I get about 5 hours tonight. Currently I work incredibly long hours M-Th. Friday and the weekend I pass out and don't move. Thanks for the concern. <3
