She's changed the setup a thousand times (I have to make floor plans even though those do not come standard so I have to make something shitty by hand on paint). Today I found out she wants to have ~300 people have lunch at the same time in a space that seats 100. When I told her that this wasn't possible she spazzed out at me, trying to pin it on me (i.e "you knew how many people would be at this conference"). I tried coming up with several options, citing how other large events have been run. But she didn't like anything. So I sent her to my boss because fuck if I'm dealing with that.
She also said that it couldn't be changed because "she already sent out the agenda to everyone." Which she SHOULD NOT have done. Because she needs to run stuff by us so we can give her the OK.
So this is a giant mess and I'm glad to be done with this in a week. This workplace is so stress driven that I can't take it with my anxiety. I'm going to do whatever I can and just be done.
The best part is that this is all stuff I had no idea I'd be doing when I took this job AND I've never been formally trained in it. So I'm basically one of the main people running two events when I have no training. Yet I know more about what I'm doing than she does.
If I wasn't leaving in a week I'd honestly have walked out today.

I know that feeling. I quit my job as a pharmacy technician for one of the major retail pharmacy chains, and on my second-to-last day, it was a nightmare. We were hours behind on orders, we didn't have enough people so that as long as all three stations that had to deal with customers had people, there was no one filling prescriptions. If I wasn't already leaving, I would have walked out.
