I don't give a single fuck about Frozen, Supernatural, and Teen Wolf.

Forgot about those. Granted, the MCU has it's good bits.

Yeah, I won't deny that. I do get the sinking feeling that the first Iron Man will remain the best of the lot, though.

Personally, it's a toss up between Iron Man and Cap 2.

The Winter Soldier was, for me, exactly the opposite of the first Captain America - whereas the latter had dreary, uninspired action scenes and brilliant writing and character development elsewhere, the former had brilliant action and dull character interactions. But I'm a sucker for action, so yes, Winter Soldier is definitely up there on the list, for me.

Really? That's interesting - I thought CA2 had some great characterization and interactions, plus it was a brilliant team movie IMO.

I was consistently bored every time the Captain and Natasha were on screen and not kicking someone's ass. They had less than zero chemistry (which may have been the point, I realize) and their exchanges were either Exposition Dumps, or grindingly forced "look, he's morally upstanding and she's morally ambiguous!" iterations on the same theme.

Which is unfortunate, because I adore both of those characters as individuals.

thirded. i also don't care about shingeki no kyoujin, doctor who, homestuck, star trek or the hunger games.

i casually follow sherlock but i stay as far away from the fandom as i can.

I'm sorta intrigued by The Hunger Games and Homestuck but not enough to get into, Doctor Who is something I fell out of, hated STID and apathetic about SNK.

I agree w/ this entire thread, with the minor exception that I love THG books. The movies can kick rocks.

Saaame. All the currently-popular stuff strikes me as bland and poorly written. Welcome to Night Vale leaves me cold, too.

Also, the only thing I ever blacklisted was The Fault in Our Stars, and if someone praises it and I don't unfollow them with the speed of light, I probably like them a lot.

Add Homestuck and Sherlock and that's my "don't give a fuck" list too.

I don't give a single fuck about these AND most other flavour-of-the-day fandoms. All the MCU, Hannibal, Merlin, Korra, EVERYTHING. Honestly, I wish I could care about something popular.

I've yet to see Frozen so no opinion, but I'm with you on Supernatural and Teen Wolf; you can add Sherlock and Hannibal for me as well. And sort of Doctor Who - I like Nine, but can't bring myself to be arsed enough to keep watching Ten.

+1

Add in GoT/ASoIaF, nuTrek, Doctor Who, Hannibal, Twilight, 50 Shades, Anime, computer/video games and slash in general and I'm with you.

I liked Frozen a lot when I saw it at the theater, but good goddamn I'm tired of hearing anything and everything about it. I actually have it blacklisted and I postblock a whole awful lot of posts about it that manage to slip through.

+1, add a few other very popular fandoms. Marvel? I do not get it.

(this apparently makes me a sad individual. Oh-dear-oh-dear. I shall have to remedy that... NOT)

man people are so judgey. I love MCU (if that's what you're referring to) but why should I care if someone else doesn't like it?

Yeah. You're like my good friends who are into fandoms that I don't get. And I'm like you and them, too.

But neither you nor my friends nor liddle me are anything like the folks who are all "Whadya mean, you don't like [fandom]?! It's the *best* and if you don't get it there must be something *wrong* with you!"

I'm 38, have had a way-too-interesting life ("interesting" as in the Chinese curse), and it's taught me very firmly not to give a damn what anyone says (unless they step on my honour: very bad idea).
